Greater Morning Star Apostolic Church Leadership

In 2000, Bishop Watkins was appointed by Bishop Johnson to start a church in Fairfax County, VA. The Greater Morning Star Apostolic Church was established on June 5,2000, with its inaugural service on July 2, 2000, at the Mark Twain Middle School in Fairfax, VA. In 2010 GMSAC joyfully marched into its current edifice at 7929 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA. In AFFI Bishop Watkins was elevated to Council Chairperson of AFFI Region I and consecrated as District Elder in 2013. In 2019, we celebrated his elevation to the Bishopric. For the past wondrous 22 years, Greater Morning Star Apostolic Church continues in the true faith as Bishop Watkins exhorts all people to repent, to be baptized in Jesus name for the removal of sins, to receive God's gift of the Holy Ghost and to walk in holiness. Both Bishop and Lady Watkins participate through various avenues like weekly worship services streamed live via Internet; our webpage; frequent community outreach (e.g., WOUNDED WARRIORS TRIBUTE, and MISSIONARY MARKETS); annual Showers of Blessing Apostolic Youth Conference; Black History Recognition; Prayer Warrior's Prayer Breakfast; Christmas Celebrations; holiday food basket programs, and our Food Bank. Greater Morning Star Apostolic Church lifts up Christ who gives life more abundantly through His salvation, healing, and deliverance.

Having obtained help of God, Bishop Watkins diligently proclaims the gospel of our Lord and Savior; Jesus Christ across the country through Fellowship, Revival, and Conference services. Bishop Watkins preaches and teaches the anointed Word of God, which truly destroys the yoke. He faithfully admonishes all: "Keep Jesus First"

Finally, yet very importantly concerning their beautiful union together was born Emily Ross Watkins on April 11, 2008.
